yes or no: outdoor rug for patio?
unsure if i should do an outdoor rug to protect the patio. any thoughts?

If your patio is covered, then you could do a rug. If it isn't I wouldn't do a rug at all - it will be covered in dirt, dead bugs, and yuck in no time at all.
Aside from this, I didn't know a patio needed protection. What is yours made of?

My answer is yes. You can go with Stained Bamboo Rug... Patio umbrella, patio table set, rugs, patio torches and paper lanterns... ooohhh .... These are enough to create romantic mood in patio area.
