I didn't realize Timmy & Theresa's boy was an Eamon, too!
DH's others picks: Dermouth, Ronan (but we know two families with Ronan's - one of them also has a Conall LOL), Killian, and... Seamus! But Seamus, to me, is an "Irish bar joke" name. OUt all of them, I'm leaning towards Eamon or Killian - but I'm afraid Killian would get shortened to Kill or Killy.
My picks were Brady or Brody, Kevin, Aidan, Kieran (but his brother is Ciaran), Brandon (his other brother is Brendan) or Matthew. He got pick our other boys' first names basically, so I want first pick this time! (This is also considering that our girl name pick is his Mom's first name - which I actually do love, but still - I'm starting to feel gipped here!)
We also know a couple of Liam's and Declan's, too.
All I know is that this baby had better be a girl!

My three sons!
Re: *Sheila*
I like Killian, Kieran (but we had Keira so forget that) and Ronan as well. Rory was also on the list (same friend just named their daughter that Ruari), John liked Owen (forget the irish spelling) which I nixed. It came down to Declan or Eamon & we didn't decide until after he was born. Now it just fits although everyone says "AMEN?"
Girls names were hard after the first 2 and I can't remember now what our girl's name was!
How time flies! Caileigh (9), Keira (6) & Eamon (3)
SHUT UP! T mentioned Rory last night (but it reminded me of Gilmore girls) and Oichean (Owen) - but I don't want my kid walking around being called "ocean - hey which one are you?!" No wonder we get along so well!! LOL But I'm glad to hear that some of DH's choices are maybe not that far off or strange!
Oooh I also like Kellen.
I've been practicing names by yelling, "Gavin, Conall, NAME, get your butts over here!" to see what rolls off the tongue best!
My three sons!
Butting in--I loved the name Eamon, but DH vetoed it.
My brother just named his baby Lachlan (lock-lan)--which I think fits in with your style.
See, I thought it was spelled like the last name, Loughlin. But it's not one that has come up - I'd have to mention it to DH and see what he says, since he's had something to say about every one of my suggestions. LOL
My three sons!
When my brother first told me I thought it was Laughlan, like Sarah McLaughlan--which I thought was incredibly long for a first name. But once I heard it was Lachlan I liked it--even though it was only one letter shorter.
Also liked Kellan - Theresa's other boys are Dillon & Conlan but that's too close to Conall.
I think John was spelling Owen - Eoin = no one would get that right!
I also like Lachlan but seems more scottish to me for some reason
I used to love to listen to Frank McCourt's pronunciation of all the irish names on this site... http://www.babynamesofireland.com/irish-boy-names
