Clarisonic?

Any of you ladies used it?  What version of it?  Yay or nay?

Re: Clarisonic?

  • I didn't want to drop the $$$ on something I wasn't sure I liked, so I tried the Olay ProX first... For whatever reason, it destroyed my face. It worked okay in my oilier tzone, but it totally dried out the drier parts of my face- To the point I was visibly flaking.

I've heard of some people having similar experiences with the Clarisonic. But for the most part, I've only heard people rave about it. If you get one, I'd highly suggest getting it from Sephora or Ulta where you would be able to take it back without a hassle if you needed to.

  • I have the Bed Bath knock of version. I got it a few months before the wedding, used it every night, and it really did help my skin clear up, and my pores seemed to be smaller (although I was also using a pore refining clenser and cream). I still use it pretty much every day, and my break outs are a lot fewer and far between than they used to be. If I feel like my skin is drying out, I skip a few days, but I haven't had that problem very often. Plus, since it's from Bed Bath, if it hadn't worked out, I'd be able to return it no questions asked. :)

  • i bought the nutra sonic (same thing, a little cheaper, higher rpms) and i liked it a lot at first, but then after continued use it really dried my skin out.  like a pp said, my skin was visibly flaking and i couldn't moisturize enough to keep up with it.  i went back to my regular skin care routine and the nutra sonic has been sitting in my closet the past 4 months without being used.
  • Thanks for the replies.  I think I might buy one of the cheap ones to try.  I usually don't have a problem with dry skin (I currently use Proactiv) but sounds like the brush might be something better to use several times a week instead of daily.  We'll see what happens!

  • I'm late - but I've had mine for a couple of months and I definitely notice a difference.  My skin is a lot softer and has a more radiant look to it.

I tried a cheaper version first before I made the big purchase also, but I think Clarisonic is worth the money.
