  • Thank you! All this information is invaluable. We have to remodel our kitchen straight away because a requirement of the 203k loan we have is that we can't do any small renovations or changes (not even painting!) to the home until all the work we're using the loan for is done. I will look at Houzz.com some more. And I definitely think having deep drawers/cabinets is essential. I'm glad you mentioned that. I probably wouldn't have thought to include those.
Baby Birthday Ticker TickerYou'd better believe I have this framed.
  • It really depends on how you like to store things.  Some of my most commonly requested items in a kitchen are:

-Pots and Pan Drawers (deep and wide drawers)

-Roll out shelves in panties and base cabinets

-Pull out Double Waste-in my opinion don't bother with a pull out single waste can.

-Vertical Cookie Sheet Storage near the range/oven

    -More drawers than standard cabinets

-Tall upper cabinets (standard upper cabinets are 30", the majority of kitchens I have done in the last 2-3 years have had at least 36", if not 42" upper cabinets)

-Corner Storage like a Lazy Susan (look into "Super Susans" they very popular and much more useful) or corner drawers or the like
