We have an awesome dog named Cooper. He is half lab and half scottie, he was not planned but is very much loved! Anyway, he has some serious issues when it comes to getting wet. He hates baths, in fact he hid from me yesterday when he saw I was getting the bath ready for him, and he refuses to go to the bathroom on the grass. He will even avoid the grass when it isn't wet. If it's raining outside he will sit inside when I open the door and look at me like I'm crazy. In his mind I'm sure he's thinking, "Yeah right mom, I'll take my chances peeing on the floor!"
Anyway, when he goes outside he will pee on the side walk or the porch (whcih drives me nuts) and I don't know how to get him to stop. Any ideas?!
Re: my dog is a diva!
I have a diva myself. My GSP hates to get her paws wet (but strangely loves to swim - she's weird).
The best way to get her to eliminate when it is raining? Walk her under the umbrella. Walking her stimulates "movement" and she can stay safely under the umbrella with us.
LOL...I have to say I have done this for my little princess Bella. Sometimes she doesn't mind the rain, other days she hates it.
