I am going to Chicago Labor day weekend and am looking for restaurant recommendations. I'd really love to do Italian or Mexican and am looking for a place where plates range from $10-$25/pp. We'll be in the Loop area all day, but will be heading to Lincoln Park later in the evening, so anywhere in the city is really okay with us. There will be three of us. Any ideas of new or interesting places? Thanks!!
Re: Going to Chicago
My Ovulation Chart

Italian - Davanti Enoteca or Quartino
Mexican - Neuvo Leon in Pilsen is pretty good and BYOB
other places I love - Tango Sur, HB, Girl and Goat, Longman and Eagle, BaBaReeba
Yelp is a good resource for filtering by location, cuisine and price
http://www.loumalnatis.com/ has great pizza. the one we went to was small so we had to wait a while, totally worth it.
and make sure to stop by the doughnut vault http://thedoughnutvault.tumblr.com/ for breakfast. get there an hour before the open, the line will be nuts! awesome fresh as big as your head doughnuts
