AurorasEnvy

Just wondering what type of toothpaste you recommend for sensitive teeth? I currently use Sensodyne and it works but H doesn't care for it. Is there anything out there that is just as cheap as that or other normal toothpaste brands?

Re: AurorasEnvy

  • It kind of depends on what the cause of the sensitivity is, but usually Sensodyne.  Unless the sensitivity is due to a lot of spots of weak enamel where someone has the start of a cavity, then I usually prescribe a toothpaste that has extra fluoride in it.  Other companies (Crest, Colgate, etc.) make their own version of a toothpaste for sensitive teeth, but I guess I can't say for sure whether it works better since I haven't tried all those kinds and my teeth just aren't sensitive enough to know the difference.  This might be pointing out the obvious, but could he just use a different kind of toothpaste?

Hope that helps, sorry I don't have a more straightforward answer for you.  Let me know if you have any other questions!

  • Thanks. I figured we would just have to use 2 different kinds which is fine but I figured I would ask first.
