Hello ladies. For my wedding I received a cast iron skillet. While I have already made the cast iron cornbread, I was wondering if anyone else had any cast iron specific recipes or hints? So far I am really loving this pan!!
Re: Cast Iron Cooking
I always make pineapple upside down cake in a large (10-inch) cast iron skillet.
My grandma cooked everything she made in a frying pan in her cast iron pans(she used her CI skillet for 70 years -- a wedding gift-- & then passed it on when she died). She was so strong for a 92 year old woman.
Fried chicken, hamburgers, milk gravy (when making biscuits & gravy), eggs, etc.
Lodge has lots of recipe on their website.
