Wow another second interview

I must have kicked butt in my interview today because the superientendent called me this afternoon and offered me a second interview. She drilled me first and asked me a bunch of questions before asking me to come in for the second interview. She was tough and even said something like, "Are you sure you are the right person for this position?" I said, "most certainly!" and then she said he likes my confidence. That was good to hear. I have to bring in 15 weeks of lesson plans as well as a statement for the vision of the technology so I have to work my butt off tonight and tomorrow morning. Ugh. After all this work I really hope I get this job!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is a WHOLE lot of work just for an interview. I've never had to do that. Lots of luck!

Yes is it a lot of work. This superientendent is know for trying to be real intimidating. I've heard people have cried in her interviews. I'm not going to let her get to me.

I'm considering 15 weeks one unit and writing a plan for each grade level. I think I would only see each class once a week so one unit may take 15 weeks, depending on the details of the unit. I would be teaching 5-8 and she said she wants it to focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) so I'm doing science units. I hope this is what she wants. She didn't make herself very clear.  Thanks for wishing me luck.

Good luck with all of the work! That is a crazy amount for an interview, but it is your chance to prove yourself. I can look over stuff for you if you want!

Congrats on the second interview, Tara! I know you'll do great! And plus-side of doing these lesson plans is that once you're hired (I'm thinking positive for you), you'll already have done a lot of the prep work!
