Snack recipes good for road trip
We are going on a big family vacation and I would like to make several homemade snacks we can bring along in the car that would be healthier and cheaper than quick stops. Anyone have any recipes to inspire me?

I would do things like homemade granola bars, trail mix, pretzels, baked chips, dried fruit, almonds, etc.
I'd portion everything out into snack sized bags. If you'll have access to a cooler as well, I'd also do things like cut up veggies (and maybe a few little containers of dip or dressing), string cheese or cheese cubes, pepperoni or lunch meat rolls, cut up fruit, etc.

Well what do you like to snack on usually...
I think the key is having everything portioned...nobody is going to want to dig into a giant bowl of watermelon to snack...
But any/all fruit would be good to me, string cheese, beef jerky
when you say homemade snacks...again, what types of snacks to do you homemake?
One of my favorite snacks: plain air-popped popcorn, animal crackers, pecan halves, and dried blueberries. just mix them all up and it is the perfect salty-sweet snack mix!
