Has anyone been to see Garth Brooks in Vegas? DH and I are going at the end of October and I would LOVE to see him live. Just wondering if the prices are outrageous (you have to call for ticket prices) and if the show is worth the price. Thanks! Any other shows you would recommend?

Re: Garth Brooks in Vegas
Yes. The ticket prices are outrageous ($200-300) but It is 1000% worth it if you are a country music fan. There are only about 2,000 seats in the auditorium. I would be surprised if there are tickets available for next month, however - I saw the show last fall and we were lucky to get tickets.
Just to set expectations, the show is not Garth busting out all of his hits... He is on stage in jeans and sh!tkickers taking about the music that influenced him (and singing obviously). It's not a straight up concert with a 15 song set list. It is really, really cool.
As for other Vegas shows, I highly rec Absinthe if you are not easily offended. For Cirque, Mystere and O are my favorites. Carrot Top was also surprisingly hilarious.
Thank you so much. I am going to have to check out info on Absinthe as you have gotten me curious. Are there any places to buy Vegas Cirque tickets for discounted prices?
sometimes going to the hotel's website will give you the best discount if they are running a special (i.e. Bellagio for O, etc)
travelzoo.com (They have Penn & Teller tix on sale now)
smartervegas.com for discount codes
ETA: there is also a guy that stands in front of Caesars Palace handing out $20 off coupons for Absinthe.
And, there are the Tix4Tonight booths on the Strip - they sell discounted tickets for performances for that night only, so you have to be flexible and hope they have what you want.
