  • I'm trying to figure out what I said recently or ever that would be called stupid, uneducated, or rednecky.  Hmmm... I guess those words are just code, a DOG WHISTLE for "not being liberal enough."  I will go to Chris Matthews and Lawrence O'Donnell to try to break the elusive code, maybe even Dan Brown.

  • Obama/Biden. Romney/Ryan fiscal philosophy is far too close to the Bush era policies that screwed the country financially in the first place (e.g., deregulation and lowering of the tax rates).

  • No, but I'm leaning towards Jill Stein.

  • Romney/Ryan unless they pies me off and then Gary Anderson. I live in a soundly red state though so I'm not worried about my vote mattering though.

I think you mean Gary Johnson, the former NM governor?

Probably better not to read there. It is like trying to make sense out of nonsense.

  • Obama. I wouldn't kick those women assaulting f'ucks a vote if my life depended on it.

There is only one person who is good for women, girls, families, and the middle class: Obama.

When the leaders of one party state outright that their only goal is to make sure the other party fails, and then openly obstructs every single thing the other party tries to do, even in the clear face of harming the American people, I think it's safe to say that there are those who are trying to take the country forward and those who are trying to make the other party fail. As just one example, the GOP set new records in the last 2 years for filibustering. There have also been a record number of judicial appointments blocked for no other reason than it was the current President making the appointments. This in the face of millions seeking justice in a backlog of cases. Sadly, we lack a real media in this country, though. Back in the day of real journalism, we could count on our media to pay attention and call out blatant lies and twisting of facts. Now we have to rely on people's opinions and commentary. Yet even in the face of this historic obstructionism, Obama has been able to accomplish quite a bit, including saving the auto industry (despite what Fox News tells you about the stimulus ?not working,? nearly all economists state the contrary). Here?s a great link with a cited list of all that Obama has accomplished, particularly in the face of the most obstructionist opposition in history: http://pleasecutthecrap.typepad.com/main/what-has-obama-done-since-january-20-2009.html

And a quote: "What makes the 'disappointment' argument even more irritating is that it's simply not true. He's done nearly everything we elect a president to do, and he did it all with little support from the left, and massive obstruction from the right. Is he perfect? No, he's human. Does he deserve some criticism? Of course, but at this point, it really doesn't matter. What does matter is that this president has compiled a STELLAR record given the circumstances under which he took office. If you can look at this list of the president's accomplishments and not be excited, you have a serious problem with perspective."

But here?s the real kicker. Remember, the real power?arguably the only power?of the presidency lies in judicial appointments, including the Supreme Court. With a number of justices in their 80s, I'm voting for the person who doesn't want Roe overturned, who doesn't want to see a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, and who doesn't want to keep Citizens United in place.

Frankly speaking, anyone woman who votes Republican is a disgrace to her gender. There?s a great article titled, ?Vote As If Your Very Life Depended On It, Because It Does.? I strongly recommend reading it.

Also, if you haven?t read the official Republican platform, you really should. The economy will get better if only because that?s what economies do. And, again despite what you hear on Fox News, economists agree that the economy already IS getting better. The idea that you would sell out your sisters and daughters and all of the women in this country simply because you don't like Obama for whatever reason (I still haven't heard any legitimate reason why) is disgraceful and shameful.
