What a crappy day...

I don't get it. I feel like today is pick on me day at work. Someone in our office called me this morning to ask me why I did something back in JUNE. She has just been pushing it off since then instead of asking me about it when it happened. So now, I have no idea why I did it. Why are you getting upset with me about it. (It wasn't even serious.) Then someone else, earlier this week, asked me to do something that was NOT in my job description but I keep getting stuck with it "because everyone trusts me." I made a typo on something that can be EASILY fixed and she points it out and tells me I need to be more careful with it. Yes, I'm sorry, I will be more careful next time but PLEASE do not rub my nose in it. I don't point out every single mistake I come across and, trust me, I come across a lot in my job.

Grrr! I just wanted to have a nice quite day and it is just not working out in my favor.

Sorry for the vent :)

  • As a fellow legal assistant I share your pain! :( It's always hard when someone calls a long time after something has gone out and is done to try and remember what you did and why you did it  that way!

My work vent from today is that I handle the real estate transactiosn in our office... everyone these days seems to think it's possible to close a real estate deal... on time... in less than a week... uhm.. excuse me? No.. doesn't work like that... *sigh* then they get mad when things don't close on time...

  • Our office focuses on evictions and collections. I do scheduling. Clients think they are going to evict someone in days or collect so quickly. Not going to happen. Stop taking it out on me!
