fish with mac and cheese?

Hey all, I am having some girlfriends over this Sunday and am making a big pot of home-made macaroni and cheese. I want to make something else to go with it. My go-to is usually fried chicken, but one of my friends that is coming is pescatarian(sp?).

What kind of fish (if any) would go well? The cheeses in the macaroni are cheddar, swiss, and jack, if that makes a difference..

Hmmmm...when I think of mac and cheese I don't usually picture fish going with it.  I so live in Tennessee where we have a lot of bbq so places around here have mac and cheese with fried or grill catfish or grouper.

i wouldn't i'd make a veggie lasanga (no ricotta) or something instead. fish and cheese just dont' do it for me.

It was requested that I make it. (Apparently my mac and cheese is really good). I am thinking I may pair it with a full salad for a full vegetarian meal.

You could do a throwback type theme and make fancy fish sticks and oven fries.

I used to work for a catering company. We served salmon mac-and-cheese at one event I worked. It was mac-and-cheese with bite-size chunks of salmon fillet mixed in. The guests at the event loved it.

Brought up Catholic, every Friday- mac & chees, sauted' spinach,

and a breaded baked fish. It goes great together!!

Baked and breaded catfish filet (I make it for my husband) it's super easy and very tasty- plus it goes great with pasta. Last time I made it with a side of arugula pasta.  http://www.davita.com/recipes/seafood/crunchy-oven-fried-catfish/r/5520# I just use the whole egg instead of the egg white.
