Help me make dinner tonight...PLEASE!

I am making steak and I just do not know what goes well with steak as a side dish. Any ideas?

  • Potatoes! I make these all the time and DH loves them:
boil some small yukon gold or baby reds in water until fork-tender. Drizzle cookie sheet with olive oil. Put potatoes on cookie sheet and smash lightly so they are kind of flat. top with whatever! I usually top with salt, papper, and paprika, but you could really do anything. drizzle olive oil on top. Stick in 350* oven for 20 minutes.
I usually pair this with sauteed veggies (in butter and olive oil). Simple and delish.

  • We are having steak tonight too.  On the side I will be making loaded baked potatoes, tossed side salads and roasted brussel sprouts.
  • You can do so much with steak! Green beans, salad, potatoes (roasted, baked, mashed, or fried), corn, edemame, broccoli, asparagus, pretty much anything!

  • Roasted cauliflower is great with steak, sprinkle a little grated parm on when they come out of the over. Baked sweet potatoes with brown sugar and cinnamon is also usually a hit. Even potato salad would work as well.

I love roasted Brussels Sprouts!  I also love doing them with bacon and a little bit of brown sugar and chicken stock in a sautee pan. Yummmm!

As for a steak, potatoes definitely work well.  You could also sautee some fresh spinach with some garlic, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice.  Also yummy.  Good luck!
