Sciatic Nerve Pain and ON FIRE

So, with my first pregnancy I got a tad of scaitic nerve pain.

With my second, the pain was worse...DD was born in Feb. But, my hips and ligaments remained very loose for a long while after she as born.

For the past few months, I have had continued sciatic pain in the left leg from my butt all the way to my foot and sometimes it hurts to walk. Sleeping has been uncomfy and the other night I had a burning feeling in my feet (felt on fire), which I read can be a symptom of a pinched nerve.

DH and I both are of the wait and see mind set. We don't run right out to the doctor. But, I think I do need to see someone.

Question: Would you go to a neurologist or a chiropractor? Or, do you have a different suggestion?

Re: Sciatic Nerve Pain and ON FIRE

  • I developed sciatic nerve pain after a knee injury, and was constantly told by orthopedics there was nothing to be done. It would come and go, and I was like you to the point I could not walk some times. One minute I would be fine and the net I would fall with tremendous pain. After going to physical therapy for an unrelated injury, she taught me what it was and things I could do at home, it seemed to help a little, but lately it has started back up severely. I decided to see a chiropractor who specialize in sciatic nerve pain, after a few weeks I'm doing alot better, I know where the nerve is, how to stretch it, and have been able to teach my husband how to help me. And it does go from your hip, butt, calf's, and ankles.
