My induction is a week from today...
Last Tuesday I was told that I would be induced on the 4th at 37+2 due to high blood pressure and worsening pre-eclampsia. I go in on Monday night for the cervix-softening stuff and then return Tuesday morning to start the Pitocin drip. I am freaking out. We will have a baby in 7 days. When did this happen!?!

Re: My induction is a week from today...
Congrats!! Its crazy isn't it!
I might be right behind you. My doctor thinks I'm developing pre-e, so she wants to induce at 37 weeks too. I'm going to try to hold off until there is a "real" problem (in my opinion), but we might be having a baby next week too!
I'm with you. The pre-e diagnosis was maddening to me. I literally felt perfectly normal. I was hospitalized for it in June, and they have watched me week by week. It's frustrating for them to keep saying, "you're sick, your're sick, etc.." I just wanted to smack them. LOOK AT ME. I'm fine!!! Today when I went in for my appointment though I had noticeable "pitting" swelling in my hands and legs, and lots of protein in my urine, so their idea of induction held firm. I have to do a 24 hour urine starting tomorrow to check just how much protein. If it's way elevated their going to bump my date earlier. DH and I just bought concert tickets for Sunday to celebrate our last weekend pre-baby weekend EVER. I told the Dr. I can't go in this weekend because DH and I have plans. :-P Haha
Yes, Yes, Yes! If I have a problem, I feel like I should feel different or bad or something. She keeps saying bed rest, so I guess I'd rather have the baby next week then be forced to be on bed rest.
I'm sorry you've been going through it for a while. My frustration only started last week but I have had swelling for a while. I did a 24 hr urine test last week and the levels came back slightly elevated and she insisted I come in yesterday so she could check my bp even though I didn't have an appointment (the hurricane that is coming tonight didn't help her insistence either though). I went in yesterday and my bp was fine 117/79! I wish these tests would have just come back normal. The baby is perfectly fine though. He has way enough fluid and is certainly not measuring small - at 35 weeks he was estimated at 6 pounds 10 ounces.
I hope your urine isn't way elevated and yall can go to the concert!
Good luck on Monday! I'll be thinking about you. I'm sorry that the pre-e came along, I'm sure that makes everything much more difficult.
I'm sure you'll do great on Monday/Tuesday and you'll have your little girl in no time
