Re: (Untitled)

  • I was very out of shape about 4 months ago! I am still not in the best of shape yet, but what a world of a difference!

In April I weight 240 pounds, my heaviest...as far as I know. I was also having issues with stairs and just mild exercise, it was embarrassing! I started out by walking and changing my diet.I also have been doing other low impact workouts like yoga and palates. (Palates is tough...especially for my out-of-shape core!)...I am now 195 pounds and still losing! I can do so much more now, I can see that I am stronger then I was even just a couple months ago.

Spin class is a bit intense, but if you stick with it you will see improvement which will help keep you going. The nice thing about spin is that you set your levels. I would make sure the instructor know that you are new, so that all the settings are done properly. The worst set back would be an injury! (but be ready to be a little sore the next day or so...and those seats are not that comfortable...it takes time to get use to them!)

     Good luck with Spin!
