man, this board is dead....confessions?
Just thought I'd start a new thread so that darn Rolex crap isn't at the top of the list.
My confession for the day is that instead of starting P90X training tonight, like DH and I planned, I fully indulged in 3 macaroons and a mocca latte and he is fast asleep on the couch. I guess tomorrow is as good as any to start!

Re: man, this board is dead....confessions?
That's my confession.:)
I just got a job today (yay! I'm ecstatic!) and I'm annoyed that it's 20 minutes from H's work. (H's work is already 1/2 hour from our apt.)
I'm excited that this new job means we'll be able to afford a bigger place closer to both our works this coming spring when our lease is up.
I really really don't like where I work. I have been with the company for 5 year. I used to LOVE it there and though I have found a place where I will work till I retire. While there's talk about a promotion, I am also looking for another job. I know I shouldn't take the promotion, but on the other hand, why not make a bit extra while I look for something else?
I spend a good chunk of my work day reading online newspapers and magazine and the nest of course! Wooooops!
TTC 19 months ~Started RE in March 2014~
DH was not ready for IUI so we waited
~Started acupuncture in May 2014~
~~BFP 7/6/14~~~EDD 3/14/15~~It's a girl!!~~
BFP #2 02/05/2013 EDD 09/19/2013
DH thinks I have been working late for the last 3 weeks to pay off my credit card. What he doesn't know is that I had it paid off months ago and the real reason I am working late is so I can get him a new watch when we go on our cruise next week.
Girl, take that promotion!
If it takes you 6 months or something to find another job, you deserve to get the extra money in the meantime. it sounds like you earned it over the last 5 years. Good luck finding something else! I'm very much in your shoes about how I feel at my current job. Used to be amazing now not so much. I'm keeping my eyes open also.....
DIDO!! I should be working right now. Don't get me wrong I love my job, but sometimes I really really struggle to focus on work. I think my upcoming training will help me regain focus. But until then I'll be posting lots! I just got the hang of TheNest Message Boards and loving it. I never got into the message boards when I was on TheKnot. That was probably best for my job
Instead of buying a coffee maker, I drive 20km, one way, to the nearest Tim Horton's on my days off. Thankfully, they are almost done building one in town
That is a lame confession but right now it's all I got.
I am guessing Tim Horton's is a coffee shop. Where are you located? Canada? I was just wondering because we go by miles in the US. Although, I have stayed in Canada for 5 weeks and got picked on for not being familiar with Celsius. haha.
My confession is I am close to graduate college and know that I have the smarts to do it, just not sure about the coping skills. It takes alot of balance between school, work, and the hubby.
Also, I applied for a virtual internship and received the email that it is mine if I want it, but do I want it? I dunno. There is a place in town I could do a marketing internship I am just not sure what it entails, although I figure it will probably be done mostly on my own time and online (which would be great).
What should I do? I would go talk to the person in town tomorrow night but we are in the midst of a hurricane right now. I think its been down graded to a tropical storm. So perhaps if the weather permits tomorrow I will go talk to him before I make a decision.
Tim Horton's is THE coffee shop in Canada. I live in Manitoba and don't know fahrenheit, so it's all good (I even had to google the spelling of fahrenheit).
I suck at life choice decision making. School to the real world is not usually as much fun as you think it will be.
I like how you all nonchalant about the hurricane like it's nothing but an annoyance. I'd be shi*ing bricks and wouldn't come out until it was down graded to a gentle breeze. Hope everyone you know is safe and secure.
Thanks for the response Spliced. I studied French at Sante-Anne's on the French Coast of Nova Scotia while I was in Canada. I am sure you are probably familiar with it. It is suppose to be world reknown.
I went talk to the guy in town about helping promote a fitness internship. I think I may prefer it to my other choice. My husband is being a road block. He doesn't see how it could benefit me. I don't think he understands the dynamic of doing an internship. Also I know he just doesn't want me getting overwhelmed with school work and an internship.
I could choose one of my business classes next semester as an internship which I would receive college credit for. The thing is I will be taking 3 classes next semester (which could include the internship for college credit) and it will hopefully be my last semester.
Right now, I am taking two classes. So wouldnt it be about the same time wise if I did an internship this semester? I messaged the guy who is offering the internship and see if he wants to sweeten the deal for me to win my hubby over.
Yes I am typically pretty nonchalant in all aspects. I get stressed like everyone else, it tends to be more of a buiidup then crash for me. I am trying not to be like that anymore. I have a more flexible job, and this internship seems like it could be flexible hrs as well.
Advice please!!
