Next Question: Inventive Litter Box Solutions

Anyone have any good litter box solutions?

 We are getting ready to move and I am trying to figure out where I am going to put the litter boxes in the new house. I don't want to put them in the basement, but I also don't want to have them in the main living space due to the mess and smell. I've seen some solutions where people hide them in a cabinet, but my cats make a mess. It's pretty much their goal to kick all of the litter out of the box.

 Please share your ideas!

We keep ours in the bathtub, in the extra bathroom.  We just pull the showercurtain mostly closed, and clean it out every day.  No one can see it, there is no smell, and the litter stays in the tub when they kick it around!

We keep ours in the second bathroom. I actually just got my kitty a new litter box because she kept kicking the litter everywhere! it's called the Booda Dome Litter Box, here's a pic:

She has to walk up those little stairs and then the litter pan is next to it, almost in a little "room" by itself.. it's kind of hard to explain, but it's much less messy than her old one. The only downside is that it's bigger than a normal litter box, but I think it's worth it. Only about $30 too!

This is the best litter box ever! It helps keep the smell down and does wonders for the amount of litter that is tracked.

So this is amazing... Hideous.... but amazing. I can see how it would work so well since they have to climb out of it. Where did you get it?

I got mine at Petco. I think most pet stores have it- haven't seen them at walmart or target though.
