I wasn't sure which board to post this on, sorry!
DH and I are leaving Sunday for a cruise- we will be back Saturday, Sept. 8. We have a cat who has been acting out lately- I think she is just bored, poor thing. Anyway, since we will be gone and are worried about her wrecking the house, my best friend said she would house and cat sit for us while we're gone. She works PT so she will be able to be there for most of the day. All of that being said, I want to get her something as a thank you for watching the house and our cat.
I was thinking of stocking the fridge/pantry pretty well and maybe leaving a bottle of wine and a card for her. Any thoughts or suggestions?? TIA
Re: House sitting gift
When our friend house sits, just drops by once or twice a day to feed the cat and water plants, we let him know he can eat/drink anything we have in the place. We also give him a personal gift from our trip. Then when we get back treat him to dinner. A long trip we'll give him some money.
Make sure there is food for them to eat, leave some money for incidentals (gas, food) and bring back a gift &/or money.
Thanks all! I am leaving her:
a bottle of her favorite rum
some cash
a TY card
some homemade cookies that she loves
thanks again
