Re: (Untitled)
I did go on a bit of a spree after we were married- not because my identity or style had changed at all, but more because I had just undergone a huge, positive change in my life and I felt like the rest of my world needed to catch up with it.
I also felt so much more like a "grown up" and suddenly started thinking things like "a married woman should have and use a good face moisturizer" and "a married woman should own a great classic pair of black pumps/an umbrella she's not embarrassed to be seen carrying/a nice set of luggage/at least one piece of cashmere knitwear/a make up bag that isn't ratty, etc. etc."
Most of those examples aren't clothing related- but depending on what your life was like when you were dating and engaged you might be due for some upgrades (I can ALWAYS argue that rationalization!) For example if you just moved closer to your in-laws I would buy a couple cute dresses to wear over to their place for dinner, or if you find you're hanging around with more married couples than hitting the club- more casual/cute outfits are always appropriate
So in short, a new closet for the sake of a new closet- no. But if you're life is evolving your closet definitely needs to evolve with it.
