I moved to Orlando first week of October, and still have not found a job. I am getting desperate and even begun to apply at retail places like Target.
I have a ton of experience in Administrative Asst., A/R, payroll, customer service, etc. What am I doing wrong. I've applied thru temp agencies and just NOTHING.....
Re: Jobs in Orlando area
The economy isn't doing so well so jobs are pretty hard to come by now a days. ?Not to mention, that it's the end of the year so a LOT of companies are on a hiring freeze until the new year.
Good luck.?
I agree with the other girls that it's just a really bad job market right now. My husband works for a staffing agency and they are having a hard time finding anyone jobs.
Maybe you could pursue work at home jobs for the time being. I work for ChaCha and bring in $10-12/hr.
Good luck!
I'd recommend that you look at TEWS staffing agency in addition to the other "big" ones. www.tewscompany.com
My organization has placed lots of temps from that agency into perm jobs.
It took me a while to find a job too after my parents (yes my own parents) laid me off...its hard, so good luck.
But I have been doing the chacha thing while I'm at work...its pretty easy to do and you can make decent money while at home. You can use me as a referral if you need one (amanda-carroll@hotmail.com) or email me if you have questions about it.
