As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

I asked my cousin (groom) for suggestions & he specifically wrote that they aren't registering & don't want gifts. Even for the wedding itself they are requesting that people donate to charities, give blood, etc.
The point of the shower is to shower her with good thoughts & blessings, not gifts or money.
I've never heard of this. So, I guess, THAT is the message you need to pass along to people. Otherwise the bride will be getting a lot of gift cards.
