On the camera subject

DH and I have several good cameras that are pretty large.  I really want to get a new pocket point and shoot for everyday stuff.  Do any of you have a P&S that you really like (or one you hate that I should stay away from?)

Thanks, girls :)

Re: On the camera subject

  • I am by no means a camera expert, but I have a Nikon Coolpix s700.  I love it!  My FIL is a photographer, and he approves. :)

  • I have a Sony Cybershot 7.2 mp that I keep in my purse!  I love it!

My film SLR is a NIkon and I love it.  I've been leaning that way for a P&S for awhile.

    Thanks!

  • I bought a Nikon cool pix a couple of years ago and it was still new when I lost at Dollywood and honesty I wasn't all that upset about it. The recovery time between pictures was really slow and I wasn't happy with that. When we got home I bought a Sony Cyber Shot and have been very happy with it. The camera will fit in my purse and is great for point and shoot photography in my opinion. It doesn't have much in the way of Zoom but the newer models probably do. I like my camera. It's a 7.2 megapixel...

I have the same one.  I love it as well.

  • I have the Olympus Stylus 800 that I have had for a few years now. It is a 8.0mp and I have been very pleased w/ it thus far.
  • I've heard good things about Nikons and Sonys. I have a Pentax Optio 7.something megapixel and it's been great. I bought it in Australia though, so I don't know if the brand is carried in the US.
