How to convince DH to go to DC for inauguration
Tickets are like $500, right? I don't even need to be at the inauguration. In the area or at a bar watching it on TV would suffice.
I really want to go. "Birthday present" didn't work.

I think you can just show up and be in the vicinity for the inauguration. You just won't get close. I believe that's the case.
You should just come to DC! We will assuredly be having a near inauguration GTG!
And that's why I want to go.
I know DH is being the sensible one, but when he rationally explains that it will be too expensive and too much time off work, I want to stomp my feet, shake my fists and yell "But. I. Want. To!!!"
