Party Review!

We had DS' 4th bday party today.  Luckily there was no terrible weather today (for my DD's we ended up in the basement with a tornado warning).

The theme was baseball, 12 adults, 8 kids, from noon to 8 (seriously, we have the longest kid parties ever).

Decorations:

I wrapped lollipop sticks with brown duct tape and attached a little baseball.

I found little baseball hats and filled them with peanuts and baseball streamers.

He also asked specifically for his banner.  So, he got a baseball one.  This is over the dessert table.

And a special request for a pinata

Appetizers were veggies, chips, apples slices with peanut butter dip, and soft pretzels with cheese dip and honey mustard dip.  The pretzels were gone in no time flat.  I was going to do the pretzel bread, but it was pricey and the frozen soft pretzles were easy peasy.

Main (no pics): brats and hot dogs with toppings (skyline chili, cheese, onion, relish, mustards, kraut); baked beans; pasta salad; seven layer salad.

Dessert: Cracker jacks, and baseball cupcakes and ice cream.  I also busted out some chocolate graham crackers to put out with the peanut butter dip.

The only issue I had was iced tea.  Normally I make one pitcher and there are leftovers.  Today I made a second pitcher and if I could have made a third (I was out of teabags) it would have been gone too.  It was terribly humid today.

And the happy bday boy with his balloons.

And tarheels- I thought of you with my wrinkly tableclothes and didn't care ;)  It's hot and I'm tired and have been swelling a lot when on my feet.
