Are they just a fad? I have been seeing the square and cushion shaped ones at a lot of jewelry stores lately. They are so sparkly. I kind of have it in my head that I want one, but I am wondering if they will seem super dated in a few years or if they seem too "blingy" for everyday wear. Does anyone have one? If so, for how long, and do you still like it?
Re: Halo Rings
I don't, my e-ring is a solitaire. But my sister does, she wanted a blingy ring and her FI made it happen. Her center stone is a family heirloom, so the used the halo to make it appear larger.
My e-ring is a solitair, too, but I have been wanting to change the setting and have been looking at Halo settings. I like them, but now that you mentioned they may look dated, I do see your point, too. I think some sort of enhancement will always be in style, however, because it makes the rings bling more.
This is my favorite style:
I do not understand this fad.
I agree with pp, a bunch of little stones takes away from the center stone. ?? it creates a busy almost cheap look.
Other BIG issue is they are dirt traps and often look dingy in real life, in magazines they are all sparkle, but then there is real life.
