cleaning laminate wood floors?
how do you clean yours? we just built a new house and part of the lower level has wood laminate flooring. I don't want to mess it up so I am not sure how best to clean it and what is safe to use.
Thanks!
Re: cleaning laminate wood floors?
I use this.
http://www.amazon.com/Bona-Laminate-Cleaner-Refill-128-Ounce/dp/B000ALLJW2/ref=sr_1_2?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1346783437&sr=1-2&keywords=bona+for+laminate
So far so good. I have had a lot of people recommend it.
Laminate is awful. I would just suggest getting new floors.
I'm sure they would if you paid for them.
My Blog:Through My Eyes
Laminate floors have come along way and you would be amazed at how many people don't know the difference once they are installed! Also, laminates are great for lower levels, solid wood is not.
As for the OP, use a laminate or wood floor specific cleaner. Avoid Wetjets, Swifferwet, any steam mop and definitely avoid a bucket and mop. Laminates, just like solid and engineered woods, are not good with water. I have found most of my clients like to vacuum (with the hose or at least without the beater bar) the floor and then use a Bona type spray with a dry microfiber mop.
