Re: Wednesday chit chat anyone?
I could not be happier that it is Wednesday already! Our long weekend was busy but enjoyable. We did a lot of work inside and outside of our house on Monday so while we didn't rest we got stuff done that we have wanted to do for a while and still got to spend the whole day together! How was your weekend?
Our situation was a little unique, because where we were living before was not big enough for all of our stuff so a lot of our stuff was at my parents. With that being said, we started packing stuff we didn't use probably 2-3 months before we moved and then the stuff we used on a regular basis beginning a month out. For example, we packed all our winter/fall stuff right away because we were moving in the summer and wouldn't need any of it before the move. Then we just left enough stuff out for us to get by the last two weeks or so. For example, plates and silverware we probably boxed up everything except 2-3 days worth of dishes as we could wash one nights dishes for the next night. We also started early because it gave us a chance to go through everything and see if we really needed/wanted to keep everything we accumulated over the years. We didn't want to have to pack and unpack anything we really didn't want or need anymore. The other plus to starting early was that we didn't feel so rushed the week of. I personally think you would be fine to start packing and cleaning now.
So excited for your purchase and that everything is moving along! Good luck with the home inspection!
I feel behind now! haha You both were really on top of everything. I'll start going through things now then. It's kinda weird because we're moving almost in between seasons with it being the end of summer almost fall. I'll start on winter things and most of the summer stuff.
Thanks so much! We are very excited for everything! I hope it move along faster than planned because I just want to be moved already!
Any big plans this weekend?
I'm sure you'll be fine! Once I got started I felt as though boxes started piling up really fast. Too bad we aren't closer I still have a bunch of boxes I could pass on (my dad works at a plant that uses boxes to ship parts so he brought us many of ours).
This weekend is pretty busy for us. We have an out of town wedding for a co-worker's daughter Saturday and Sunday my parents are coming to help us do some more work around the house. If it doesn't rain we are going to work on painting the trim around the windows we are not having replaced in a few weeks. Other wise I guess we'll be working on different projects in the house (my hope is to get some input into a color for our living room wall so maybe we can have at least ONE non-white wall!!!).
Any plans for you?
Thanks for the thought with boxes - I know we're going to need as many as possible. Luckily my FIL works for a box company so we can get alot from him!
I hope it doesn't rain for u! You def have to put your foot down on the wall colors. haha Color is a plus! :-)
For once in a long time we don't have any plans this weekend! Just a birthday dinner on Saturday for my Grandma. I'm excited to not have to do anything!
Well, we are finally getting settled into our apartment. Our long weekend was relaxing, which was very nice.
I am also very glad its already Wednesday. It's going to be a long work week over the next few weeks, but that's okay.
