SmileJenn

I saw that you work for ChaCha. Do you like it? How many hours a day do you work? Do you work during nap time? : )

Any thoughts are appreciated!

 Thanks!
Jen

Re: SmileJenn

  • Haha we both paged SmileJenn for the same reason!

I work for ChaCha too...I'm an expediter guide (as opposed to a search guide) so I don't earn as much as she does (I average about $4/hr and just over $100 a month). I work after she goes down for the night and on weekends. I really like it, it's pretty easy work.

Jenn will probably be able to provide a little more insight than me :)

  • Haha! I0-12 isn't bad for doing research, I made less than that when I worked in product development at Disney. lol..sad I know....

Still any extra money is definitely good! : )

Maybe I will see how my nights look after going back to teaching...something tells me with grading work and preparing for lessons I may not have extra time!  It's going to be a  tough transition going back to work....

  • I know what you mean about the transition back to work :) I've been back for about 4 months now and it's STILL rough for me!
  • Ohhhh don't tell me that....I am going to be a mess! Thankfully first graders tend to keep you busy so maybe they will keep my mind off of missing  Lil. :(
  • I was a wreck the first few weeks. I love the daycare where Angelica goes though so it helps...I still miss her tons though!
  • Hi! I love working for ChaCha! I heard about a couple years ago in a magazine, but didn't apply until this past April. You guessed right, I work during naptime! I bring in about $1000-1200/mo, which is better than I would have done working PT outside of the home and paying for daycare. I'm a ChaCha Guide, so I do make a bit more than expeditors. If you have any questions, feel free to email! You can also use me as your referral if you would like if and when you apply for ChaCha. :) smilejenn@aol.com PS. The comment about Product Development at Disney made me laugh. I was O&T at Disney for several years before quitting to stay home!

  • Oh you know exactly what I mean about Disney then. ;) I wish I could stay home with Lil too but I have to go back to work. The nice thing is that I'm a teacher so I do have the summers and the holidays off.

Thanks for the info and the reference! : ) I will look into it.

  • Oh I'm sure we could trade Disney stories all night long. lol Did you work at Celebration or Maingate when you were in Product Development?

  • I too am a ChaCha guide and enjoy it!  I can't believe some of the off the wall questions I get sometimes!  I attempt to work during naps but mostly after the kids go to bed for a few hours a night. I try and make $100 a week.  Still trying to figure out how to make as much as Jen.   I was a teacher until I decided to stay at home this year and since insurance is killing me I was actually considering going full time at Disney.  Now I'm not so sure ladies.  We may have to talk more about this!  LOL!
  • My hubby actually works for them.  I just got a job with them as a Guide.  We haven't made as much as Jenn either (would love too though).  I stay at home with my daughter so every extra bit helps.
