Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

My awkward day :-/
So on the way back from New Orleans (which was awesome) I picked up a cold. Not too serious, just one of those stuffy nose and mildly miserable things. I went to work at my day care on Tuesday, obviously sounding sick but definitely getting by for a measly 3 hour shift. I woke up this morning (Wednesday) way worse, with a nasty cough that slowly developed since Tuesday night. I had planned on going into work today and possibly leaving if necessary once the other teacher and I were comfortably in ratio (ratio is 1:18 in Ohio, we usually have 2 teachers and 19 kids, I was gonna leave when there were maybe 10 kids left).
Well just as I arrived, I see a note from the other teacher. She most likely wasn't coming in today because she had a family emergency that morning and she left me instructions for how to plan the day. I call the big boss lady and she says she was going to send someone over anyway because we needed to keep ratio. Excellent.
Well the other teacher did end up coming and I was sent home because apparently my condition was more alarming to others than it was to me. I went to an urgicare and was told I had viral bronchitis. And I was contagious. Oops.
I'm not allowed to go to work tomorrow and right now I feel kind of high from the Rx codeine, so I might need some Nestie company all day!
