Pronovias Haya Wedding Dress - $900 (orig. $1600)
This dress, "Haya" from the Spring 2009 Pronovias Collection, is made of dupioni silk, has a delicately folded bodice, and slight pleating over the bustline-- all of this makes for a very flattering fit. It is strapless, and while I am not always comfortable in strapless dresses, because of the shape of the bodice I didn't tug at the dress once. It also hits the armpits in a way that doesn't create any unattractive lumps or bumps. The back zips up with buttons over and there is a very secure internal bodywear/bra.I am 5'5", 125 pounds, 32D, and wore 3.5" heels; I bought a size 10 in the dress and had the hemline slightly altered, and the waist and chest taken in. This dress would, therefore, fit an individual 5'7" or shorter, who wears approximately a size 6 or smaller in tops.We were married last fall and I did not wear the dress to a reception. It has been professionally cleaned and has no noticeable stains or marks. I would be happy to send pictures to anyone who is interested! I hope it finds a good second home!
