Make-Up Questions

I really need to find something that will help control oily skin but yet look matte. I currently use Cover Girl Simply Powder Foundation and either my skin has gotten used to it or it just stopped working. What can I switch to or try? Because I can't take this anymore! My face looks like a oil slick...lol

Re: Make-Up Questions

  • I am with you all the way! I have oily skin as well. I LOVE urban decay's deslick-it's a setting spray you spray before you apply makeup and after you're done with applying. It is a bit costly(it's a professional brand), but worth it! My favorite foundation is a powder foundation from Loreal-the best coverage I have ever seen in a powder and it's available in pretty much any store! It's called Loreal True Match Naturale-comes with a makeup brush on top too! :)

  • I just read on a beauty blog yesterday that Monistat Chaffing Powder Gel has the same active ingrediant as Smashbox's primer.  It sounded weird, but then I Googled it and it came up on multiple beauty blogs.  It's supposed to provide a great matte base.  I haven't tried it yet, but plan on swinging by CVS this weekend to grab some.

  • Put corn starch in your loose powder container (or whatever container you have) and get a big fluffy brush to apply it. Clean the brush often with a vinegar/water solution. Don't use those flat round poofs that come with powder foundation, they push the makeup into your pores and get very dirty after a while.
