Neighborhood cats marking on my porch.
I've noticed that horrible smell that lets me know the neighborhood cats are waging a territory war on my front porch. I'm going to spend part of my weekend washing down my pouch to try to remove the smell. My first thought is vinegar and water but I was wondering if anyone has any other suggestions or if you know of anything I can put down to prevent or dissuade them from marking in the future. I live in a row home in Philadelphia so there isn't a way to prevent them from getting on to my porch.
Re: Neighborhood cats marking on my porch.
We always use Nature's Miracle to clean up cat pee.
I don't know if this would help you, but one of our cats was peeing on our bed, and in addition to using NM, we sprayed the bed with Feliway spray. I wonder if you sprayed your porch daily if that might prevent the marking? The spray is designed to mimic a cat calming pheromone. It stopped our guys from peeing on the bed.
