Vent: I can't stand it when people take a day or more to respond to a text message. I understand waiting that long to return a call, since phone calls consume more time. But a quick text saying "I don't know, I'll get back with you" or "No, that doesn't work" or "Yes, we'll be there" takes maybe 30 seconds to compose and send.

the bad: I have a friend who is losing herself in the guy she's marrying. I am barely recognizing the person she is becoming. I wonder what will happen. 

the good: I had dinner with two other friends the other day and it just felt so good to see them. We had lots of talking and eating and walking and even a few tears as we got caught up on various news. It just felt very authentic, is what I think I'm trying to say.

I'm agitated with H's dad.  He's back in town and has contacted H's brother and sister, but not him.  He told H's sister that he would contact him but he knows H won't answer.  H called him last, in June, to tell him we were pregnant.  We haven't heard from him since and all H got was "congrats" and a change of the subject.  I'm so sad for H...it seems like his dad always drops everything for his other kids yet ignores the one that's never asked him for anything. Diicck.

As I get older, I find this is usually the case. I don't get it either.

As I get older, I find this is usually the case. I don't get it either. 

Had to delete my response. I'm willing to bet I have a lurker or two.

I've been wanting to put this on FB for SO SO long but can't work up the courage. So i'll tell you ladies:

I really hate when people secretly take a cell phone pic of someone (in walmart, a restaurant, the post office, etc.) and upload it on facebook just to make fun of them. Know what I'm talking about? Kind of like that website, people of walmart. I've looked at it and laughed.. but something about my facebook friends taking the pictures and uploading them just to make fun of someone kinda makes my heart hurt.. Haha and I majorly side-eye them for being so rude and having that poor of etiquette. 

Feels so good to get that off my chest. Seriously.. it might bug me more than it should. But come on people- no need to be so rude.

FFFC: I came home to a notice on our door from ONG saying our gas has been turned off and in the "reason" section they'd written "call the office" and something else I couldn't make out but it looked like the word "leak" was in there. So I call the office to see what's up and the lady tells me she can't tell me because my name is not on the account. I proceeded to b!tch her out and explained to her that I'd like to know what's going on and whether or not there's a leak--I don't think that's too much to ask! After my gripe session she was majically able to fill me in on the details--we have no gas, which means no hot water, for a few days. Grrrrr.

AW: A friend of mine sent flowers to me at work yesterday with a note saying she hopes my new job is going well. I was totally shocked and so appreciative! It really made my day to know she's thinking of me.
