Tailgate/Football recipes
Hi Ladies! We have a perfect fall day here for college football Saturday! (Go Bucks!) What's your favorite thing to make for when your respective teams play?
Mine is probably Rotel dip (Velveeta and Rotel pepper mix). Healthy and and elegant, I know.
But heck, it's football.
Re: Tailgate/Football recipes
Dixie/Texas/Cowboy Caviar
2 cans black eyed peas, drained
2 cans white shoepeg corn, drained
1 can black beans, drained
1 can diced roma tomatoes, drained
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 red onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 jalapenos
3 drops Tabasco
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1-2 tbsp sugar
Salt and pepper
Fresh cilantro (not dried)
Combine all. Go easy on the pepper, but add a decent amount of cilantro and salt
Serve with Tostitos scoops (17 for like 120 calories) for a snack you can chow down on and not feel bad about. Serve with Fritos if you're not worried about your waistline

Sweet and Spicy Meatballs!
Cattleman's bbq sauce, grape jelly, a dash of salt and pepper and a sprinkle of tabasco. Add as much or as little of all the ingredients you want and put them in a crock pot and enjoy the game!
(I know it sounds disgusting but they are so good!)
7-Layer Dip! http://sprinklensimmer.com/7-layer-mexican-dip/
I make this with grape jelly and cocktail sauce...which sounds even more disgusting than yours. But it really is delicious! :-)

Buffalo chicken dip, and Boursin Italian sausage balls. Everyone seems to really like both of them.
Feta/Tomato Dip
Line a dish with drizzled olive oil
Add chopped tomatoes, green onions, feta cheese and black olives sprinkle with Greek seasoning. I like to mix all together spread on a dish and add extra seasoning served with pita chips or triscuts.
