Places to have outdoor family portraits in Chester County

Looking to have some outdoor family portraits taken in Oct. and I'm looking for some ideas as to where. We live in West Chester so anywhere nearby would be great. Any place with a lake, or a bridge, old buildings, etc would be ideal

Weve had family photos taken at Ridley creek state park and I really like it there--many people do wedding photos there as well. It's technically Delaware count but very close to West Chester

Long wood gardens or at the university both come to mind. Maybe valley forge.

I think you'd be able to get some great pics at Everhart or Kerr Park in Downingtown

I have run races here and the place is GORGEOUS! Big lake, restored old mansion, sweeping hills for beautiful backdrops.

If you're looking for something a little different...my friend had her engagement photos taken at Baldwin's Book Barn. They came out beautiful. There is also a bit of property for outdoor photos. I think you'd have to call them to get permission to take photos there.

I second this!  We are actually have the monster's first birthday/family portraits taken there next month!
