I'm swamped! I've worked in hotels and cafes before, so I know a
fair bit about making real espresso and espresso drinks, but this is
the first espresso machine I'll be buying. We currently have a $20 coffee (not espresso) maker that makes such terrible coffee I've switched to instant! I'm desperate to have something better!
Must-have features:
- Milk steamer/frother
- Uses coffee grounds, not something like Kuerig cups
- A 'real deal' espresso machine, with a portafilter and brewing group: no touch of a button sort of thing
Budget:
depends, really. $200 for something that's 'good enough', $300 for
something really good. I'm aware that these machines cost up to the
thousands, so I'm not expecting something cafe-quality for my budget
here.
Or, to put it differently: I was looking at the De'Longhi EC270, but it has pretty bad reviews. The De'Longhi Kmix has much better reviews, does anyone have any experience with it?
