Dietitian vs. Nutritionist

I am hoping to seek some guidance on my diet and how I can eat better. I have been a vegetarian for most of my life and am very active at least 5 days a week. I am comfortable with my size and weight but am interested in toning more of my body. I have constantly been told that it's 80% of what you eat. I don't know much about dietitians and nutritionists but I am hoping that someone more knowledgeable will be able to help me. Does anyone have any advice on which professional I should seek out?

Re: Dietitian vs. Nutritionist

  • I would seek out a registered dietician.
  • Yes a register dietician is someone who has a college degree in nutrition and is licensed by the state. A nutritionist can still be a good choice depending on what you are looking for like more holistic.
