Just curious, legit or just another gimmick??

Re: Has anyone tried Wen?

  • I was just searching Wen and had no idea there were so many products. Want to try it, but would love some real reviews/recs first.
  • I tried a deluxe sample of just the shampoo a few months back. My hair is slightly dry and tends to not frizz so much, but I do get quite a few fly aways around my face and from my neck when I put my hair up. The Wen totally corrected those problems for me- My hair had never been softer or more manageable. I would totally recommend trying it out :)

  • No, it's definitely not a gimmick.  Sephora is carrying it now, I just got a sample of it and can't wait to try it out.  Plus I've heard lots of great things about it... My suggestion is to get a sample from Sephora as well and see how it works for you :)

  • I have been using for about 5 years now and I can not bear to have another other shampoo touch my hair.  It solved my frizz problem, my hair is long and strong.

I use fig and tea tree.  I purchase the gallon sizes it is more cost effective.

  • I bought some for my mom because she really wanted to try it. She has fairly thin hair with a bit of wave/curl to it. She said that what she likes about the product is that it makes her hair more manageable and it styles easier. What she doesn't like is that she found her hair got greasy more quickly than with regular shampoo (and it isn't supposed to). She tried using different amounts of the product, but it didn't really make a difference. Overall, she likes it though.

  • I tried it but I didn't love it. My mom has been using it for a long time now and swears by it.

  • Love it. But I don't think a sample size will do it--I didn't learn to love it until I fully committed. Just trying it once or twice won't teach you how to use it properly. Use a lot: not as much as the bottle says but WAY more than you are inclined to use.  And if you aren't a shampoo every day kind of girl,  I would recommend washing every single day for a few weeks just so your hair and scalp can adapt to it.
