Repost from c&o--storing cardigans?
How do you store your cardigans? Currently, I have them folded in a
hanging sweater organizer from ikea, however, they are always so
wrinkled!!! I am obsessed with cardigans (I wear one every single
day). Has anyone tried padded hangers? TIA!

Re: Repost from c&o--storing cardigans?
I keep them folded with my other sweaters in a cedar chest. I use a couple of padded hangers at work to store a work cardigan. My office can be very cold. The sweaters that are stored that way will stretch out on the hanger over time.
I also store mine in a hanging sweater organizer. They're usually ok if I take the time to button them up and fold them fresh out of the dryer and put them on the organizer. I run into issues if they're not totally dry (damp), not buttoned (they don't fold evenly and end up wrinkling), and obviously if I stuff them in there really tight or squish them they end up wrinkly.
If I have a wrinkly sweater that I want to wear that day I usually just throw it in the dryer with a clean, wet washcloth for 20 minutes while I'm showering or getting ready in the morning. (Obviously for a black cardigan you don't want to throw in a white washcloth and vice versa) For extra tough wrinkles I spray with Downy wrinkle release and pat it down and try to smooth it out a bit before I throw it into the dryer- that usually makes my cardigans wearable pretty quickly.
