My DH just got a job in maine... and I live in California. I'm still in school finishing my masters, so I can't leave until May. Anyone have any advice to make the distance seem any smaller? We are still on a semi-student budget, so traveling more often isn't possible.

Re: Long distance marriage
I don't know if I would do this but I had a friend in a long distance relationship (somewhat similar to your situation) and they would Skype while doing normal activities (playing computer games, watching TV, cooking, etc.) so the other person was still "there" hanging out with them. Like I said, I don't know if I would do it, but regular Skype-dates are awesome!
Are either of you able to see each other at least once from now until May? or are there no trips scheduled?
I so get your issue. We are doing Montana to New Jersey and have been wayyyyyy to long.
Previous Post touched on it, but we do Skype nightly just so we have a chance to talk and seeing the person is much better then just hearing them. Also have played card and boardgames on pogo now and then to feel like we are doing an activity together. Still doesn't make up for the days that suck and you really need a hug but we are so much stronger in our communication now.
