When are you no longer a Newlywed?

So we celebrated a year last month! YAYYYYY Are we no longer considered newlyweds???[Poll]

I say 5 years just because (sorry to be a downer), the most divorces happen within 3-5 years of being married...so I think if you make it past that point, your not a newelywed.

I agree.  Those first 5 years are the key.  Half the people are still in the happy phase, the other half are in the "Oh crap what did we do" phase.

I can see that. Seems like most people said after a year...and honestly I'm feeling like an old married couple!! But we are definitely still NEW!

I don't think the label "newlyweds" has to do with divorce rates. It's based on how recently you were married. Etiquette says one year of marriage.

My parents just had their 41st anniversary last week and still act like newlyweds.

H and I still get called newlyweds after 3 years. 

My vote is you're a newlywed as long as you feel like one.

I used to wonder this too.  I've been married for over five years now and it's only been until recently that I no longer feel like a newlywed.  I was used to thinking that my wedding was only a year or two ago and then I've realized that a few years have gone by.  My husband and I are still very much in love and our relationship has improved.  I didn't think it could get better since I thought it was good to start with.
