174 days....

Since my last period. I'm 22 years old never been pregnant. I had a 3 week long period back in Dec and my Dr gave me pills to stop it. It worked for a week until  I got my period again which lasted 12 days and made me so sick...next one lasted 7 days and only came 10 days after the last....got a 3 week break before another 2 week period. And nothing since then. Anyone have any idea what the heck this is?? The pills seemed to really throw me out of whack but they weren't bc pills. I was also told I have dysphasia again which I'm overdue to get checked. I'm def making a drs appointment. I just looked at my tracker app and I guess I hadn't realized it has been so long. I'm a little freaked out right now...

  • No I don't, but one of my friends had faced this type of problem, even she suffers from anemia only because of this, she had shown herself to the good gynecologist. Now she is absolutely fine.
  • I'm finding a new one...my dr just sort of gave up on me. Thank you for your response :)

  • Glad you are finding a new doctor. This needs to be addressed ASAP. Could be something simple and easy to fix, so don't worry, but if left untested it can get worse. Make sure you ask to get a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound when you are at the doctors. If you cant get in to see the new doctor sometime in the next week, then go to an urgent care or the ER.

Also assess your diet and lifestyle. Avoid caffeine and foods with high fat content. Also make sure you are on daily vitamins. My guess is you may have fibroids or cysts (although I ant be sure since I am not a doctor), both of which feed off of caffeine. Good luck! Please keep us updated.

  • Hey, I don't know if you've seen a doctor yet. But I used to have major problems with my cycle. I was on my period for over 3 months straight, would miss it a LOT, and just various problems. One thing to look into is your thyroid. Your thyroid can have a MAJOR affect on your body. If you notice other symptoms, such as getting hot/cold easily, always being tired, weight gain/loss. Google hypo/hyperthyroidism and see if it fits you. That's what mine ended up being. Now I'm on BC if I want a regular period, even though my thyroid is regulated. But I choose not to be on BC because I really don't like taking synthetic drugs. Good luck to you! Hope you get/got answers you need!
