travel and missing prenatal visits?
i am a non-working prego and my hubby does electrical work. theyve sent us out of state for a few weeks and even if i reschedule my prenatal visit that i have to miss, it pretty much puts us into another month, like we skipped one. this makes me really nervous considering how much could go wrong during a month. we are 18 weeks tomorrow and i just want to know your thoughts on the subject. do you know of any ways i can get around missing it. i would make an apt here but idk if its possible because my insurance is medicaid based out of missouri i think.

I would call your OB and get their input. They will probably be fine with you missing it and want to see you as soon as you return, or may want to see you right before you leave. I'm PG w/ #4 and have had to skip an appointment with all of mine...I just gave my Dr a heads up. I went to Europe for 3 weeks when I was pregnant with my first and my OB called me once to check in, but she wasn't concerned about me being gone.
