Happy Friday!!!
For those of you with a little free time- I need some wardrobe advice. I just scheduled a professional photo session for the hubs & I (I'm trying to do 1 each year since we never take pics ourselves) and since we're making the investment, we're going to use the pics on our Christmas cards.
Since we don't live somewhere very seasonal, and as I said the photos will be basically all the pics we have of ourselves for 2012 and will be displayed at home year-round, snowmen, scarves and the like are out. And since we're doing the shoot in October there are no Christmas trees to pose around. So the cards are not going to be your traditional "Christmas Card photo." Our photographer suggested a shoot outside in tall grass, (we've done a city shoot and did one at the beach last year so we wanted something kinda different.) Below is a link to a previous shoot our photog has done at the same location we will be at:

This is where I need some help! We're going to be using a vintage-looking loveseat, some old suitcases and possibly some balloons as props. What do I wear?!?! What should I ask the hubs to wear? Do you guys think something natural and muted will look best or would a pop of color be better? Should I wear a red dress make it look a little more season-appropriate?
I appreciate any and all suggestions- I know this is kinda weird. Christmas-photos-but-also-kind-of-not. Thanks
Re: Suggestions please!

Ohio- That's so crazy you used Carrie! Glad you hear your experience with her was great, the pictures on her site are beautiful.
Tx- The first session is EXACTLY what we're doing! Not that I thought what we were doing was completely original, but it has literally every element we thought about using. So cool!
I think I'm going to wear this dress, assuming it fits and is flattering when I receive it, I just need to figure out shoes/accessories.
I was trying to find something I'd be able to wear after the session (nothing too costume-y) and I can wear that dress to work or out on the weekends, or with tights and a sweater during cooler months.
