Cowboy boots

Longtime lurker..... I am thinking of purchasing a pair of cowboy boots for fall. saale a girl wearing them with skinny jeans and I can't get them out of my head. Do you think they are a good trend for fall?? I feel a little weird trying them out since they are not something I would usually wear. I don't want to look "costumey".  I am looking for something like the Frye Billy pull on. What do you think

Re: Cowboy boots

  • They're pretty much standard attire here, both with jeans and dresses.  I first saw it in 2006 when I moved here and DH says he remembers it from when he was in college in the early '00s.  In the fall, I alternate my cowboy boots and my riding boots depending on my mood.  As for whether it'll be completely out of place where you are, I can't say.  But it's not a trend in the way neon and peplums are a trend, so if you think you might like it, give it a try.
  • Thanks! I'm in Arizona so it is not too crazy for here either.
  • I think that the trend is moving more towards a brown knee high boot, if I'm correct. I wouldn't get the cowboy boots unless you have the confidence to pull it off. :-)
  • I love my boots, as for the knee high brown boot trend..I think both the cowboy boot and knee high trend will be around for a long time.

My only suggestion is making sure they are age appropiate.. I like my boots with cleans lines.  My faves are Ariatts.

Post pics when you get them!

  • They are really in for fall...so I would assume you could probably get away with them at least this fall/winter and next. I don't know how long the trend will last, though. Since they are a staple for so many places, though, I'm sure you can pull them off! Just make sure you feel confident in them or you probably won't wear them much. :)
