Im excited and alittle worried all at the same time =( im not sure what to expect...

is it as scary as it sounds? Any stories or advice would be lovely.

It's scary to join, because it's a 4 or 6 year commitment, but once you are adjusted (after about a year), it is scary to think about leaving the military.  :-)  The military will take care of you. It's very paternalistic.  People get used to being spoiled with free medical, free housing, free education, etc.  We've been in a long time (over 10 years)  and it's super comfortable. When you are low ranking it can be frustrating because you have no power, but as you work your way up, it is very rewarding. I think you'll really like it. :-)

thanks for responding. I hope i love it it really freaked me out at first but ive been talking about the idea so much that its starting to grow on me.
