Straightening iron recs?

Hello, lurker here...

My flat iron of several years has died a very tragic death. It was a Chi, 1-inch, very basic but good quality. I had zero complaints and loved it but am open to the possibility that technology might have improved in the last several years (such as multiple heat settings). Do you ladies have any particular straightening irons that you'd recommend?  I'd like to spend $100 or less, but feel free to suggest anything. I have quite long, fine (but not thin, there's a lot of it) hair, lightly colored treated (occasional partial balayage when it gets mousy). Suggestions very much appreciated- I am a fluffy mess over here!!!

  • I think I paid around $150 for my Sedu, but it is SO worth it.  I started out with a Chi which broke within a year, then went to a T3 which I didn't like and have had great luck with my Sedu for the last couple of years.

  • I have an 1 1/2" I think? It's a Solia and I LOVE it!! I got it as a Christmas gift this last year, ordered from www.folica.com and it was $90 plus s&h whatever that was. I have pink with black ceramic plates, but there is a purple, blue and black one too! And the black one is ten bucks cheaper if you don't care about color (: I'm a lurker too btw.

  • I got my first Sedu 9 years ago (still works great). Now I have 3 Sedus in different sizes.

Go to Folica.com because they always have a coupon code to save you some $.

  • Yes, Folica.com!!! I will definitely be ordering more from their website. Hopefully not another straightener for years to come lol but other items (: everything on there seems to be very decent quality.

  • I have an Izunami, which I love. You can find them on amazon. I also have this blow dryer, it's professional strength and I love it.
